This wine is produced using a very interesting technique: the smallest bunches of grapes from some selected vineyards in Treviso are left to overripe on the plant, once ready for harvest they are hand picked, crushed and then vinified. Ultimately, the wine is left to rest for a minimum of two years in brand new barriques.
Once bottled, it is kept in the cellar for a minimum of six months before being released.
The bottle has no paper label, the graphic you see embossed on the glass is in fact 100% real Gold.
Interestingly enough, the name of this wine comes from the wind that blows from the sea, through Venice and towards the inland, in Italian is called Libeccio, in Venetian is called Garbin... this wind is the one responsible for speeding the drying of these small bunches of grapes.
This wine presents a deep and garnet colour, with intense aromas of dark fruit, black plums, vanilla and cocoa, coffee and tobacco.
All this aromas can be found again on the palate with balanced tannins and acidity, ending with a soft yet astringent long and elegant finish.
Needless to say this wine has won the most important awards worldwide:
*Gold Medal: Sommelier Wine Awards
*Silver Medal: Concours Mundus Vini Meininger
*Gold Medal: Concours Mundus Vini Deutschland
*Silver Medal: Concours Mondial De Vins, Bruxelles 2014
