Deep ruby-red wine. It is fresh and intense; with black fruit aromas such as plums and cherries, and some mocha and spiced notes like black pepper. The mouthfeel is soft, with round tannins and a slight chocolate note. It is a balanced wine, very enjoyable.
This grape variety is originally from Bordeaux was first introduced to North Eastern Italy in the 19th century. Almost forgotten in France, this grape has been enthusiastically adopted in the province of Treviso, where it found the perfect balance between soil composition and climate conditions. The next vintage will be finally classified as a D.O.C.
RECOMMENDED PAIRING: Perfect with pasta dishes, lasagna, grilled meat and aged cheese.
